Peer Reviewed Symposia

These are formal technical sessions in which authors of the technical conference papers present their work. Symposia allows you to hear the latest industry knowledge and methods before it’s available in popular literature. Authors explain how their work will help advance and provide innovative technologies to the coating and corrosion industries and/or introduce new information to the existing body of literature. A technical paper is required and will be published in the conference proceedings.

Research in Progress

Witness new research or see improvements to current technology by attending a Research in Progress session at the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2023. Research in Progress symposia provides a forum for the presentation of information and ideas derived from current or recently completed research with opportunities for discussion and sharing of ideas.

Student Poster Session

The Student Poster Session at the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo encourages students to become active in AMPP and present the results of their work to membership. The AMPP Research Committee is awarding $9,000 in total prize money to the Student Poster Session winners at AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2022. Prize awards are $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place in designated categories. A prize will also be awarded for the best undergraduate poster.

Forums and Workshops

Learn about hot topics in corrosion and coatings through panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and more from industry leaders. Our forums and workshops consist of informal presentations not connected to a paper but on a specific industry topic, as well as opportunities for questions and answers.

Informational Sessions

Focused on a specific topic, informational sessions offer presentations of information and ideas for discussion without the requirement of a formal paper.

AMPPitheater

These are unique presentations on materials protection through corrosion control and protective coatings. This mini auditorium in the Exhibit Hall will feature industry leaders and AMPP staff who will facilitate interactive discussions on infrastructure and asset protection.

2024 Call for Topics

To have your presentation topic considered for AMPP Annual Conference + Expo in New Orleans (March 3-7, 2024), the request must be received by Thursday, March 30, 2023. AMPP is seeking presentation topics in the following formats: Informative Sessions, Peer-Reviewed Topics, and Advertorial.
